Nexus 7's

Post by aeros » Thu Sep 07, 2017 3:44 pm

I have two Nexus 7 for sale. One has been my dedicated nav instrument for the past year but I've now got a 5.7" M8 PRO to do the same job ... just a bit smaller.

Both are fully loaded with xcsoar, xctrack and LK8000 (all terrain maps, airspace etc). Both have a case but one has been modified to sit on the flightdeck at an angle for better viewing. Lots of other useful apps on there too ..... but you could clear everything and start again.

Costs are: My dedicated and fully set up one (on left) is £35, the other £25.

Sorry Joseph, it went Friday - just not been on site to update.

But, if it helps have a chat with me, tell me what you want and I'll make some recommendations.

No worries Ed

Well my kobo solution has pretty much self destructed now so I'm looking for something else

I'm up for giving the tablet solution a try, I'll just have a look on eBay

Have decided to go for one of these, specs look great for the price..

we'll see if it stands the test of time. I've bought a solid looking protective case anyway

I got his gel cover for mine (clips in really snug).

Then some 50mm sticky back velcro, doubled back at the bottom and a short lanyard fitted. Good screen size, excellent battery life, very fast and responsive ... I may get a second for personal use. Very impressed with it.

I followed Ed's advice and now have a Leagoo which seems pretty good. The link to the gel cover doesn't work anymore but I managed to track it down here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/cover-GEL-TP ... 3029769997 It's just the job.
