Carlton Hangar Being Demolished. The gliding club informed us today (8 Jan 13), out of the blue with no warning, that the hangar on which Wendy sits is to be demolished this week! We had been told repeatedly that nothing was going to happen for ages.
We are away on holiday for two weeks from 10 -24 Jan, so will barely have time to go up there on 9th and remove the station. It will be off air for some weeks now until we can return and make plans for it's re-siting. As I had a fairly hostile reception to the previous re-siting attempt, I am not sure what to do at this point.
