This Thursday Nick Pain, ex-hang-gliding UK distance record holder and now a rapidly
progressing paraglider pilot will be coming to talk about making the switch and what he has learned
along the way. Nick flies an Advance Iota, spending several months over the winter in Australia
and then flying the Dales in the summer. Some of his skills from hang-gliding have clearly
delivered results in the transition to paragliding…other aspects have taken a little more work!
We’re delighted Nick is coming to share tips, stories and experience.

We meet at the Horse & Farrier in Otley (LS21 1BQ).  There is a big (free) car park round the back.  The presentation will start at 8pm in the upstairs function room.  Most people turn up around 7.30pm for a beer and a chinwag.  Pub food is available until 7.30pm or there is a fish & chip shop round the corner.
