Club Night - 7th Oct - Hike & Fly Special
Aimilios Apostolopoulos has written 'The Beginners Guide to Hike and Fly' - you may have seen the review in Skywings this month. He has kindly agreed to share his knowledge, story and insights from 6 years of Hike and Fly with us.
As Aimilios is from Greece, he would not be persuaded to leave simply for one evening, so he will appear via t'internet on the big screen in the Horse and Farrier on our October club night, being the 7th.
Members can always dial in and watch him via their device, but to encourage you to come along and bruise him with intelligent questions, we have purchased a book and shall give it away to a random in-person attendee on the night. The presentation will also be recorded.
Normally a two hour presentation, I asked Amilios to cut it to an hour to give us time to take a bar-break and to follow it up with 20 minutes or so of Q&A and some social digestion.
We meet at the Horse & Farrier in Otley (LS21 1BQ). There is a big (free) car park round the back. The presentation will start at 7.45pm in the upstairs function room. Some folk meet up for a pub meal at about 6.30pm; or 7.30pm in time to order a drink before the presentation starts.
