Coronavirus Flying Restrictions - Update

With regret the DHPC Committee requests that pilots refrain from flying in the local area, especially club sites, until further notice.

Whilst it's tempting to argue that you can maintain separation at all times, it's more about respecting the wishes of the local population and Mountain Rescue Teams; and not risking placing an additional burden on the emergency services.  By setting a good example we hope to retain the goodwill of all our supporters and of the public in general; so that when conditions improve we can resume flying with all the freedoms that we have enjoyed previously.

Although the BHPA has not yet adopted a similar policy (here) mostly because it encompasses so many disciplines, a number of BHPA hill clubs have also asked pilots not to fly.
