Important information
July 2025. DO NOT drive vehicles beyond the normal parking and along the ridge line. This area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and very sensitive.
The 'carpark' was damagd during the heli-lift to move stone onto the coast to coast path in early 2025. The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority levelled the area but it is still recovering. There are parking spaces at the side of the road a bit further to the East.
Status
Sensitive
This site can be flown but there are some important rules in place. Please read the information on this page very carefully.

Comments
The site is shared with the Cumbrian Soaring Club. The farmers have expressed concern at occasional crowding at this site.
There is a small NW face that has been flown occasionally. Do not attempt to land near the car park in this wind direction as it is likely to be in rotor.
Site Challenges
If you'd like a task to follow, consider Tailbridge's Defined Flying Challenge: Tailbridge The Mallerstang Ridge Run. If you don't know about the DFCs, you can read about them, and download a copy from Ed Cleasby's website.
